LIFE Hymemb stands out on 17th ENaSB

Two LIFE projects – LIFE Hymemb and LIFE aWARE had a dedicated stand in the technical exhibition of the 17th ENaSB (14-16 September, Guimarães), counting with over 350 participants. Hymembers shared the main objectives and developments of the project with congress participants.

The APESB – Portuguese Association of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering promotes every two years, the ENaSB – National Meeting on Environmental and Sanitary Engineering. This time, the 17th ENaSB was held last 14-16 September in the birthplace of Portugal, the beautiful city of Guimarães. The 17th ENaSB was dedicated to “The sanitary engineering in the cities of the future” and aimed to present and discuss the most recent scientific developments, innovation, technical solutions and available resources for water supply, sanitation and waste services. In this conference, which counted with over 350 participants, 15 technical sessions focused on Water Quality, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Emerging Contaminants as well as Water Safety Plans were held. The conference was completed with four plenary sessions dealing with “The sanitary engineering in the cities of the future”, “Stormwater management”, “Circular economy” and “Funding the water sector”.

LNEC presented LIFE Hymemb at the conference through an oral communication but also had a LIFE dedicated stand, disseminating LIFE Hymemb (LNEC is coordinator) and LIFE aWARE (LNEC is partner) through poster and information brochures and obtaining inputs from the participants.
